Rural Fire Services, Duffys Forest

This project incorporated the demolition of the existing Rural Fire Services building at Duffy’s Forest, and construction of a bigger single level fire station building that includes the following:

• a multi-function room,
• kitchen,
• cleaning area, utility room,
• accessible bathroom facilities,
• media room; and
• parking for up to four fire trucks,
• mezzanine level for storage,
• water harvesting for external use and new pump out septic tank system.

As part of the contract, we created parking spaces for an additional 10 vehicles outside the station, and the new building and facilities have been constructed in line with bushfire protection measures.

These works have brought the facility up to current standards and improve the ability of the RFS to continue their vital service to our community.
